President Obama told Matt Lauer he's meeting with experts so he knows whose "ass to kick". It's now 51 days after the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon rig that caused the largest and still growing oil spil in US history. Scenes like this are all too common. It didn't have to be this way because 48 days ago:

It was willing to provide ships outfitted with oil-skimming booms, and it proposed a plan for building sand barriers to protect sensitive marshlands.
The response from the Obama administration and BP, which are coordinating the cleanup: “The embassy got a nice letter from the administration that said, ‘Thanks, but no thanks,’” said Geert Visser, consul general for the Netherlands in Houston.
President Obama your administration dropped the ball bigtime on this one. I suggest if you find the logistics of kicking yourself in the ass impossible, you have Vice President Biden do it for you. A little hint VP Biden, this spill is a BFD, so kick for the uprights.
